Dennis has represented both non-profit and for profit entities on a wide range of transactions and regulatory matters. His experience includes representing clients in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, contract negotiations, and in compliance matters with state and federal regulations.
Dennis began his career as an associate in the finance group of Bryan Cave, LLP in New York City and later practiced as a healthcare attorney at Garfunkel Wild in New York and McCarter & English, LLP in Newark, NJ. Prior to starting his career in private practice, Dennis served as a fellow at the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice in Newark, NJ as well as a UVA Law South Africa Human Rights Summer Fellow at the Centre for Applied Legal Studies in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Dennis has represented clients on a wide variety of matters, including counseling a hospital system on a merger that created the largest health care system in New Jersey, advising one of the nation's largest home care systems on a joint venture with a large health care system, representing financial institutions in financial arrangements, assisting a not for profit entity in obtaining 501(c)(3) status, and providing regulatory guidance to clients ranging from large health care systems to individual physicians with respect to state and federal health care regulations.
